Experience

I was a tutor in the San Francisco, California Bay Area for over 10 years with The Buddy System which stressed establishing a strong, helping bond with students. This enabled students to tear down resistance to language learning and to focus on specific points of learning. I was able to help students improve their grade much to the delight of their parents! I love the French language and being with young people. I have fun sharing my knowledge and experience of contemporary French culture. I have an impressive French accent.

Hobbies

Photography is a passion of mine. Please consult my website www.garciaphotoarts.com for many photos of Paris. I recently returned from a year's travel to Europe and Southeast Asia. The first five months were spent in Paris - September 2014 through February 2015. I followed a new passion of visiting many contemporary architecture buildings in Paris. I then spent 2.5 months in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Of special interest was Angkor Wat, Cambodia, one of the wonders of the world. I snorkeled off many islands in Thailand. In Vietnam, I immersed myself in the culture and getting to know the Vietnamese people. My final three months were spent in Valencia, Spain where I took a month of language lessons which, of course, was so helpful. My final week was spent in Madrid where I visited nearly every museum possible including several visits to the Prado.
